Kern County Authorities Seize Multiple Weapons in Gang Investigation

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office recently seized several weapons and made one arrest as part of a gang activity investigation.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, East Area substation deputies began a community-oriented policing project in Tehachapi in response to reports of Vagos motorcycle gang members allegedly harassing customers at a local business.
Deputies conducted a post-release community supervision search at a residence on Dawn Avenue in connection with the operation, and reportedly confiscated a firearm hidden in a Vagos vest, a second firearm hidden in a motorcycle, a fully automatic machine gun, and a 40 MM launcher.
Deputies reportedly also arrested Angela Vasquez, 37, on several felony charges including firearm charges and child endangerment.
Deputies also obtained a Ramey warrant for an individual identifie das Ulisses Navarette, 37, of Tehachapi. The warrant encompassed several alleged felonies and gang enhancements, authorities said.
As of June 18, deputies have yet to locate Navarette.
