Manhunt Concludes: Suspect Apprehended in Plumas County Search

As of 6:02 PM, law enforcement authorities have safely apprehended the suspect in the Butterfly Valley to Quincy area, prompting the lifting of the shelter-in-place order. The individual, identified as Christopher Hale-Goodson, a 42-year-old male, was the subject of an extensive search involving Plumas County Sheriff personnel, SWAT teams, CHP helicopter support, and additional law enforcement officers.

Hale-Goodson, described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with blue eyes and short brown hair, was last observed without a shirt and wearing dark pants, potentially wet from crossing creeks.

Earlier in the day, an emergency alert advised residents in the Butterfly Valley to Quincy area to remain indoors and secure their residences due to the ongoing search following a vehicle pursuit.
