ROSEVILLE, Calif. — The Placer County District Attorney’s Office announced they have filed charges against Schitara Page, age 37 – the foster care mother of twin boys who drowned in a pool in Roseville last year.
In Oct. 2023, Roseville first responders went to a home in Roseville after a report of two unresponsive young boys in a pool. Both twin brothers were transported to a hospital where they later passed.
An extensive investigation proceeded, where investigators were tasked with identifying if any criminal negligence had occurred. After months of reviewing the evidence, the Placer County District Attorney’s Office proceeded with filing charges.
Page is charged with multiple counts of cruelty to a child by abuse, neglect or endangering health with allegations that the acts resulted in the death of the victims.
The defendant appeared in court with private counsel.
