INFORMATION
On July 28, 2024, the Santa Cruz Police Department (SCPD) responded to Dominican Hospital for a report of a deceased infant that was brought in by her mother. Upon arrival, SCPD Officers met with the mother, Korisa Woll, and observed the deceased child, an 18-month-old female.
SCPD Investigators were called in to begin immediate follow-up. Investigators learned that the child had passed away while in the care of Ms. Woll at a residence on River St, in the City of Santa Cruz.
The Coroner took possession of the deceased child, and the results of an autopsy are pending. Ms. Woll was later booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on a charge of Felony Child Abuse.
The case is now with the District Attorney’s Office, and there will be no further updates from the Santa Cruz Police Department.”
