The investigation, which spanned over the past two months, was led by the SFPD Narcotics Unit. The unit had been tracking a known narcotics trafficker with pending legal cases in San Francisco Superior Court. Through meticulous investigative work, officers developed probable cause that allowed them to obtain search warrants for multiple locations, including a motor home parked in San Francisco, the suspect’s vehicle, and two residences in Oakland, California.
To execute the operation, the SFPD Narcotics Unit collaborated with Plainclothes Teams from the Tenderloin, Northern, and Central District Stations. The effort also involved cooperation with several law enforcement agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, and the Army National Guard.
During the operation, officers apprehended 32-year-old Fany Reanos-Moreno, who was driving a vehicle near the intersection of Van Ness Avenue and Market Street. Following the stop, officers determined there was enough probable cause to arrest Reanos-Moreno on felony charges related to narcotics trafficking.
In a separate action, officers detained a 57-year-old male, Alexander Wyatt, who was inside a motor home located on the 1000 block of Turk Street. Wyatt was arrested on multiple charges, including possession of brass knuckles, resisting or delaying arrest, possession of narcotics, and for an outstanding arrest warrant from the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Office.
The SFPD acknowledged the vital role played by the DEA, the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, and the Army National Guard in supporting this investigation and operation. The department reiterated its ongoing commitment to addressing the city’s drug-related challenges by targeting individuals involved in illegal narcotics activities.
