LIVERMORE — A 49-year-old dishwasher riding a bicycle was arrested for possession of
methamphetamine and related drug paraphernalia. Miguel A. Laramartinez is being housed at
Alameda County Santa Rita Jail. Laramartinez remains in custody in lieu of $37,500 bond.
Police said in a prepared statement the suspect attracted attention to himself during the night
of September 16. “Livermore police stopped a cyclist for several traffic infractions on North
Livermore Avenue near Las Positas Court.”
Laramartinez is a transient familiar to Livermore police who conducted a search of him. This
search revealed that he was carrying more than three grams of methamphetamine. He also
had in his possession drug paraphernalia.
Police placed Laramartinez under arrested on September 16 at 11:20 p.m. He was booked
into the county lockup the following day, September 17 at 2:13 a.m. He was booked for
possession of a controlled substance and unlawful drug paraphernalia. His next scheduled
court hearing is October 28.
The suspect faces more legal troubles. Laramartinez also had a warrant involving assault with
force likely to produce great bodily injury, and vandalism under $400. He faces separate
misdemeanor charges for the assault and vandalism, which occurred in May.
Laramartinez has other prior drug-related arrests on his record. He was arrested in 2018 for
possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested twice in 2016
for possession of illegal drug paraphernalia.
