Shasta County Sheriff: Multiple Arrests During Probation Compliance Sweep

“On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, a probation compliance check was conducted on the 14000 block of Creek Trail. During the search, Detectives located 1.9 pounds of methamphetamine, 8.6 grams of Fentanyl, ammunition, a stolen motorcycle, and a large amount of U.S. Currency.

On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Detectives with the Shasta County AB109 team and Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force, contacted the property owner, Nathan Hale (56), on Hilltop Drive in the City of Redding. Hale was interviewed and ultimately arrested for 11378 HS-Possess Controlled Substance for Sale, 11366 HS – Maintaining a Residence for Use/Sale of Narcotics, 30305(a)(1) PC – Possess Ammunition by Prohibited Person, 496D(a) PC Possess Stolen Vehicle, 11364(a) HS Possess Narcotic Paraphernalia, 11350(a) HS – Possess Controlled Substance, and 1203.2(a) PC – Violation of Probation.

PREVIOUS RELEASE

On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Detectives from the Shasta County AB-109 Compliance Team along with Detectives from the Shasta Inter-Agency Narcotics Task Force (SINTF) and Officers from the Shasta County Probation Department conducted a probation compliance sweep at multiple residences throughout Shasta County.

Detectives conducted a compliance check of a residence belonging to Amber Yarnell (33), on the 10000 block of Harley Leighton Road. While at the residence, Detectives contacted Mazhar Khan (45). Detectives located approximately a quarter pound of methamphetamine, evidence of narcotic sales and narcotic paraphernalia. Khan was arrested for 11378 HS; Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of sales and 11364(A) HS Possession of narcotic paraphernalia. Yarnell was arrested for 3455(A) PC; Violation of Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS), 11377(A) HS; Possession of methamphetamine and 11364(A) HS; Possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

During a compliance check of a residence on the 21000 block of Oak Knoll Road, Detectives contacted Jacqueline Clark (28) and Geremy Levings (35). Levings is currently on Parole out of the State of Nevada for possessing stolen property. Detectives located Methamphetamine on the nightstand and floor of the room Clark and Levings were occupying with their infant child. Additionally, the room had a pungent smell, consistent with recent methamphetamine use. A glass methamphetamine pipe was located on a dresser next to the infant’s toys. Children and Family Services responded, and the infant was placed into protective custody. During a further search of the property, a stolen motorcycle was located, which Levings had the key to. Levings was arrested for 273A(A) PC; Felony child endangerment, 496D(A) PC; Possession of a stolen vehicle, 11377(A) HS; Possession of methamphetamine, and 11364(A) HS; Possession of narcotic paraphernalia. Clark was arrested for 273A(A) PC and 11377(A) HS.

Detectives also conducted a compliance check at a residence on the 14000 block of Creek Trail. During the check, Detectives located 1.9 pounds of methamphetamine, 8.6 grams of Fentanyl, ammunition, a stolen motorcycle, and a large amount of U.S. Currency. The residence is believed to belong to an individual who is subject to compliance checks, however, the individual was not found at the location. This case remains under investigation.”
