Humboldt County Authorities Investigating Armed Robbery in Eureka

EUREKA, CA  –  Authorities in Humboldt County are investigating an armed robbery in Eureka.

According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an armed robbery at Fairway Market on Herrick Avenue in Eureka at around 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30.

According to the store owner, a man entered the market, pointed a firearm at him, and demanded cash, allegedly threatening to shoot if the demand was not met.

The suspect fled on foot and was last seen in the area of Carolyn Court.

Deputies arrived within minutes of the initial call but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall, weighing 150-160 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves, and carrying a blue canvas bag.

Authorities are continuing to investigate and encourage anyone with information to contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.
