Carlsbad Vice Narcotics Intelligence Unit’s Successful Crackdown on Drug and Firearms Trafficking

“Our Vice Narcotics Intelligence Unit is committed to keeping our community safe by targeting dangerous narcotics and illegal firearms. They work tirelessly to investigate drug-related cases that originate in Carlsbad and trace the sources of illegal substances. Just last week, the team identified two unrelated cocaine suppliers in North County who were involved in two cases that began in Carlsbad.
On September 25, our Vice Narcotics Intelligence Unit, alongside the Crime Suppression Team, executed a search warrant in Oceanside. This operation led to the seizure of $14,500 in cash, a ghost gun, a shotgun, 1.76 pounds of cocaine, mushrooms, Ecstasy and Adderall intended for sale. The suspect was arrested and charged with multiple narcotics and weapons offenses.

On September 27, with support from patrol, the same teams executed another search warrant in Oceanside. They confiscated 6 ounces of cocaine, 600 Ecstasy pills, an AK-47 pistol, two Glock handguns and $1,400 in cash. The suspect was also arrested and charged with multiple narcotics and weapons offenses.
