Suspect in 2020 Colusa County Homicide Reportedly Arrested in Arkansas

“On March 26, 2020 at approximately 7:13 pm, Colusa Police Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Wescott Road for a reported shooting. Upon arriving on-scene, a Hispanic male adult later identified as Giovanny Antony Alcaraz, was located with a single gunshot wound to the face. Alcaraz was transported to Enloe Hospital for treatment, however succumbed to his injuries. During the course of the investigation, Christian Allen Suarez was identified as the suspect. Suarez fled the country immediately after the shooting.
On 9/30/2024, Suarez was arrested by law enforcement in the State of Arkansas on an unrelated matter. During the initial investigation by Arkansas law enforcement, Suarez’s identity was confirmed along with the active warrant issued by Colusa County Superior Court. Suarez is awaiting extradition to Colusa, California once pending charges in Arkansas are adjudicated.
