Authorities in Del Norte County have reportedly arrested three people in connection with an alleged machete attack.

According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on the night of Saturday, Oct. 5, to the 900 block of Hamilton Avenue in Crescent City, where they located a victim who had suffered injuries from being struck with a machete.

Deputies also learned that three suspects had been involved.

Authorities eventually located the suspects at a residence on the 300 block of Harding Avenue. After obtaining a search warrant, authorities searched the residence and seized two handguns and a short-barreled AR-15 style rifle without a serial number.

Authorities also seized rounds of rifle and pistol ammunition, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The suspects were identified as Ethan Raby, 22; Izayah Raby, 25; and Angel Dominguez, 27.

All three were booked at the Del Norte County jail on suspicion of attempted homicide, conspiracy, brandishing, and vandalism.

At press time, the Sheriff’s Office did not comment on a possible motive or whether the suspects and victim were known to one another. The investigation is ongoing.
