Costa Mesa Man Arrested for Suspected Murder of His Girlfriend

COSTA MESA, CA  —  Officers with the Costa Mesa Police Department have reportedly arrested a man for the suspected murder of his girlfriend.

According to a press release, the department’s communications center received a call on the afternoon of Tuesday, Oct. 22, about a deceased woman found in the backyard of a home on the 1900 block of Maple Avenue.

Costa Mesa Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and located the victim, later identified as 38-year-old Julie Ann Sanetra of Irvine, whose body had reportedly been left in a trash can.

Sanetra’s partner, 49-year-old Daniel Allen Aldrich of Costa Mesa, was reportedly identified as the primary suspect.

Aldrich was located and arrested at a family member’s home on the 3700 block of El Lado Drive, police said.
