Man Wanted on Warrant Allegedly Caught with Ghost Gun in San Mateo County

A man wanted on an outstanding warrant was arrested after allegedly being caught with a loaded ghost gun in San Mateo County.

According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, a patrol deputy stopped a vehicle for a code violation on the night of October 25. The deputy identified the driver as Jason R. Quiros, 52, of El Granada.

Quiros was reportedly found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest on suspicion of making criminal threats, a hate crime, and disorderly conduct.

Additional deputies responded to assist with the arrest, during which a loaded, unregistered semi-automatic firearm was allegedly found in Quiros’s vehicle.

Quiros was booked at the Maguire Correctional Facility for the alleged possession of an unregistered firearm and for the outstanding warrant.
