On October 23, 2024, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Porterville Police Department officers responded to a report of a robbery at Murry Park, located on the 500 block of East Putnam Avenue. Upon arrival, officers interviewed several victims who reported that a male subject, identified as 42-year-old Adrian Contreras, had used a baseball bat to forcibly take cash and personal belongings from them.
