Culver City Police Arrest Woman for Alleged Assault with Deadly Weapon

CULVER CITY, CA  –  Officers with The Culver City Police Department have arrested an individual for allegedly attacking another with a metal pole.

According to a department press release, Culver City police responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on the 3800 block of Sepulveda Boulevard shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25.

Officers arrived on the scene within a minute of receiving the call and administered medical aid to a victim suffering from a significant head injury.

Culver City Fire personnel later transported the victim to a local hospital for further treatment, with injuries reported as non-life-threatening, police said.

According to witness accounts, a female suspect carrying a long metal pole confronted the victim, asking if she had any money. When the victim declined, the suspect repeatedly struck her in the head with the pole.

The victim reportedly attempted to escape by running into the street.

Bystanders shouted for the suspect to stop before the suspect fled south on Sepulveda Boulevard.

Officers and the CCPD K9 Unit canvassed the area and located the suspect. Police identified her as Tiarea Janae Davis, 27, of Culver City.

She was taken into custody without further incident.
