Camarillo Felon Arrested on Multiple Firearms and Explosive Charges

Ventura County, CA

Law enforcement officials recently arrested a convicted felon who allegedly provided a gun to a juvenile.

Camarillo resident Jorden Adams, 39, who is prohibited from owning any firearms (due to his conviction), “transferred” possession of a high-capacity magazine and firearm to a juvenile.

The case began in Aug. when the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Camarillo Special Enforcement Unit
(SEU) received information of a juvenile in possession of a firearm. On October 22, detectives arrested the juvenile who was cited and released to the custody of an adult, officials said.

The investigation led officials to Adams. At that time, SEU and Camarillo Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) detectives executed a search
warrant at Adams’ residence where they discovered “five rifles, four pistols, two shotguns, high-
capacity magazines, and ammunition,” officials said, as well as metal knuckles and “hundreds of rounds of
firearm ammunition in various calibers.” Several firearms were categorized as short-barreled
rifles or shotguns, and none of the pistols had serial numbers, making them illegal “ghost guns.”

Detectives also found tools for manufacturing firearms, explosives, and metal knuckles.

Adams was transported to Ventura County Jail, where he was booked on charges of possession of
explosives, manufacturing destructive devices, possession of assault weapons, and being a felon
in possession of firearms and ammunition.”
