ROCKLIN, CA — “Early Sunday morning, Officer Velasco was on patrol when he observed a vehicle driving recklessly near Sunset Blvd. and Stanford Ranch Road. The vehicle ran a red light and was clocked at over 90 MPH!
After the occupants made suspicious movements during the attempted stop, the vehicle eventually yielded to our officers. Upon investigation, the driver, Alejandro Cadenasferrer, 18, from Rancho Cordova, was found to be under the influence. Even more concerning, there were four passengers under 18 on board.
A search of the vehicle uncovered two loaded firearms hidden underneath the passenger seat and in the seat pocket.
Thankfully, the juveniles were safely reunited with their families. Cadenasferrer was arrested for DUI, child endangerment, and other charges.
This incident underscores the importance of responsible driving and keeping our streets safe. Thank you to Officer Velasco and our dedicated team for their swift actions!”
