WEAVERVILLE, CA — Trinity County authorities reportedly arrested an individual on narcotics-related and child endangerment charges following a search warrant late last week.
The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office announced in a press release that, on October 25, investigators from the Sheriff’s Office and wardens from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife carried out a search warrant at a residence on Angel Hill Road in Weaverville.
Multiple individuals were detained during the search, according to authorities.
Investigators discovered and seized just over 104 grams of cocaine, packaging materials, digital scales, pay-and-owe sheets, bundles of U.S. currency totaling $24,766, and several hundred rounds of ammunition at the residence.
Investigators also allegedly discovered unpermitted and hazardous electrical wiring was found throughout the property, prompting notifications to the local Public Utility Company and responses from the County Building Inspector and Fire Chief.
A 13-year-old child was also found to be living at the residence, although they were at school at the time of the search. Child Welfare Services were notified and responded to the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Coy Mobley, 52, the homeowner, was arrested on suspicion of narcotics possession for sale, maintaining a residence for drug sales, being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, and child endangerment.
