MILL VALLEY, CA  —  One suspect was arrested following an early morning crime spree in the
vicinity of Eldridge Avenue and Lee Street. A second suspect is still being sought in
connection with several vehicle burglaries.

Alexis I. DeLeon, 33, of Mill Valley. DeLeon was placed under arrest November 6 at 7:02 a.m., near the intersection of West Blithedale Avenue and Lee Street.

Mill Valley police said in prepared statement, “Officers responded to a report of car break-in
and quickly located a person in the area. Officers also uncovered evidence linking the
individual to a recent garage break-in, where a bike was stolen.”

Officers who checked the neighborhood found vehicles that the suspects apparently entered.
They also discovered a garage door that had been forcibly opened. Police believe DeLeon
recently stole a bicycle that was taken from inside the garage.

DeLeon was booked into Marin County Jail on November 6 at 8:32 a.m. DeLeon is already on
probation for a prior conviction. He was booked on open charges for burglary PC 459 and
possession of burglary tools PC 466. In addition, he faces a charge for violation of probation.
A judge set bond at $10,000 for release for custody.

The second suspect was not found despite a search of the area, where the vehicle break-ins
occurred. Anyone with information can contact Mill Valley police at 415-389-4100.
