Fresno police detectives have reportedly arrested their primary suspect in a recent shooting investigation.
Just after 1 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, officers responded to a reported shooting at the Shell Gas Station located at 2588 South Maple Avenue. Upon arrival, officers reportedly found a male victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to CRMC, where he underwent surgery and was later listed in stable condition, according to police.
Police say the shooting followed a verbal altercation involving three males, the victim, and his girlfriend as they left the store. The confrontation allegedly escalated into a physical fight, during which one of the males allegedly drew a firearm and shot the victim multiple times.
Detectives reportedly identified Christopher Norris as the primary suspect in the incident. He was taken into custody on Monday, Nov. 4, and subsequently booked into Fresno County jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, shooting at a dwelling, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
