Hollister Woman Reportedly Faces Felony Charge in Connection with Puppy’s Death

HOLLISTER, CA  —  A 67 year old Hollister woman was arrested recently for allegedly failing to seek veterinary care for her dying puppy, police said.

In a press release, the Hollister Police Department announced that they had arrested Aurora Carbajal.

Police say that, on November 12th, officers responded to the 100 block of Chestnut Ln. and discovered a four-month-old German Shepherd mix in distress and dying.

The animal was taken to a local veterinarian for treatment, but ultimately passed away, police said.

Carbajal was arrested on suspicion of felony animal cruelty.
