LIVERMORE — Officers arrested three persons for organized retail theft at two
supermarkets in Livermore. The suspects are San Francisco residents, 22-year-old Marahco
Marshall, Anita Lopez and Trevon Williams, both 20.

A passerby alerted Livermore police. A woman walking her dog on November 19 flagged
down the police at approximately 8:45 p.m. She reported that three persons had just stolen
items from the nearby Lucky’s Market on Portola Avenue.

The suspects were seen running into a nearby neighborhood, where officers noticed a car
with a vehicle code violation. Its dark tinted windows were in violation of vehicle window
tinting law. A traffic stop was conducted, and officers observed a large quantity of unopened
toothpaste boxes on the floor. There were also tote bags filled with items.

Livermore police said the suspects admitted to stealing items from Lucky’s, and Safeway on
First Avenue, which they planned to sell. The stolen items recovered included laundry
detergent, makeup, shampoo, deodorant, razers, beef jerky and coffee.

Some shelves at Lucky’s were stripped completely bare. A total of 707 items from Lucky’s
with retail value exceeding $8,500 were recovered and returned to the store. Another 34
items were recovered and returned to Safeway, with nearly a $500 retail value.

Marshall, Lopez and Williams each face charges for organized retail theft, receiving stolen
property, and conspiracy to commit crime.
