High-Speed Pursuit Ends in Arrests Linked to Retail Theft in Napa County

On November 16, 2024, shortly before 10:00 a.m., American Canyon Police officers identified a silver Ford Fusion suspected of involvement in organized retail theft incidents in Napa County. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle fled southbound on Highway 29, initiating a high-speed pursuit. The chase continued into Vallejo and westbound on Highway 37, ending when the vehicle crashed into a marsh off Highway 37.

The driver, Daesharee Logan, 27, of San Rafael, and the passenger, Marquis Lewis, 33, of San Francisco, fled the scene on foot but were apprehended. Logan was arrested for felony evading and resisting arrest. Lewis was taken into custody for resisting arrest, providing false information, and a Napa warrant. Both individuals were booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections.
