SONOMA COUNTY — Detectives with the Sonoma County sheriff’s office are investigating a suspected murder-suicide.

According to a media release from the sheriff’s office, a deputy found two people deceased at a home on the 2000 block of Weeks Ranch Rd. on the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 27.

The deputy had responded to the home to conduct a welfare check after one of the residents had missed work, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies reportedly arrived to find the front door closed but unlocked and lights on inside the home. The deputy entered the home and found two individuals inside, both deceased in what appeared to be a murder-suicide.

Crime scene investigators responded to the scene to take over the investigation, which is active and ongoing, the sheriff’s office said.
