Christmas Day party gets violent for San Diego family
Two men were injured in an altercation with family members on a Christmas Day gathering.
According to a San Diego Police press release, during a family gathering at a North Park apartment, a fight broke out, and resulted in two men, aged 48 and 59 were injured and had to be transported to a local trauma center for their wounds.
The 48-year-old was struck by a coffee pot, lacerating his head, and stabbed in the chest with a knife. The other man was cut in the armpit during the altercation. Police arrested a 44-year-old woman and her 20-year old son, but they have not yet released the names of the two arrested. News 10 has reported that the son jumped out of the apartment window, prompting a foot chase of about two blocks before he was detained.
The mother and son were both booked into San Diego County jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. Mid City Division of the San Diego Police is investigating the incident.
