Gunshot Grazes Head, Shooter and Driver Arrested
TURLOCK – One man is fortunate to be alive and another man is in jail after a dispute on Saturday led to a nearly fatal gunshot. Around 7:30 pm Jose Coria got into an argument with someone and left the area, apparently with the disagreement unsettled.
He returned later as a passenger in a vehicle and resumed the fight. This time Coria fired a shot at the victim with a bullet that grazed his head. Coria rode off from the scene of the crime. Police spotted him getting into a car at the corner of North First Street and Orchard Street and arrested him.
Coria is being charged with attempted homicide. In addition the driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old Linzey Pacheco, was charged with destruction of evidence and possession of narcotics.
The victim was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
