Three Arrested in Victorville Armed Robbery

VICTORVILLE – Ten days after two men robbed a mobile phone store, holding employees at gunpoint, San Bernardino County sheriff’s investigators tracked down three suspects. On Monday, investigators released details of all three arrests.

The final arrest, of Aisha Johnson, 20, of Los Angeles, took place over the weekend. The other two suspects, Samuel Baines, 50, of Los Angeles, and Anthony Johnson, 20, of L.A., were captured on May 30 and May 31, respectively, after investigators tracked them down.

The crime took place on May 24 at 10:30 a.m. when Victorville deputies responded to a T-Mobile store at 14309 Bear Valley Road following reports of an armed robbery. Investigators reported that Baines and Anthony Johnson entered the store, holding store employees at gunpoint before tying them up and robbing them. The two men fled the store with an undisclosed amount of electronics and money taken from the store and its employees.

On May 30, Victorville detectives and its Crime Impact Team located Baines, arresting him near his L.A. residence. Serving a search warrant at his residence helped them locate evidence linking him to the robbery. One day later, May 31, the CIT located Anthony Johnson, arresting him at his L.A. residence.

On June 5, Victorville detectives arrested Aisha Johnson after determining that she was present during the robbery and was in possession of property that was stolen during the robbery. It is not yet clear if Anthony and Aisha Johnson are married or otherwise related, though they have different home addresses reported.

Baines was booked at Victor Valley Jail on felony charges of armed robbery and kidnapping, plus false imprisonment and participating in a criminal street gang. Anthony Johnson, who was on felony probation out of L.A. for armed robbery, faces the same charges as Baines. He was booked at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. Aisha Johnson, facing charges for armed robbery, possession of stolen property and participation in a criminal street gang, was also booked at West Valley Detention Center.
