Three Georgetown residents were recently arrested in connection with a string of burglaries throughout El Dorado County, according to an official press release from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.
Jeri Acuna, 37, was arrested for possession of stolen property and a stolen vehicle; Ryann Jana Leidel, 32, was arrested for two outstanding felony warrants; and parolee Tommie Richard Stover was arrested on two other felony warrants.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Investigations Division had recently been investigating a series of burglaries in the county that stretched from the Pollock Pines/Camino areas through Placerville and into the outlining areas of Georgetown.
On December 4 patrol deputies reportedly found a vehicle parked at a business in Georgetown that was later identified as a vehicle that had been stolen during a recent burglary. Detectives were notified, and later discovered a Georgetown resident was associated with the stolen vehicle.

Around the same time, patrol deputies reportedly went to an address off of Wentworth Springs Road in Georgetown looking for a wanted felon. While at the address, the deputy reportedly discovered what he thought might be stolen property and notified detectives.
Then on Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a another suspicious vehicle located in the bushes behind the same address off of Wentworth Springs Road. The vehicle reportedly matched the description of a vehicle that had earlier been reported stolen to the California Highway Patrol. Deputies responded to the address and confirmed it was the reported stolen vehicle.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, detectives gathered enough information to obtain a search warrant for the home and surrounding property. On Tuesday, December 10, the search warrant was served, and during the search detectives reportedly discovered hundreds of items that had been confirmed stolen, as well as numerous other items suspected to have been stolen. So far the Sheriff’s Office has reportedly identified items belonging to victims of four separate burglaries and one auto theft.
On Wednesday detectives reportedly returned to photograph and itemize the stolen property during daylight hours. The amount of stolen property was reportedly so large it took seven detectives all day to process it all. Many of the recovered items were identified and released to victims at the scene, and the remaining suspected stolen items were reportedly moved to a storage facility.
The three Georgetown suspects were reportedly arrested at the scene. The Investigations Division is reportedly continuing to investigate and anticipates tying the remaining seized property to additional victims.
