As Officer Hutchison arrived, he noticed that the teenager had entered a parked vehicle that was parked in the city parking lot on 4th street. The young man told Officer Hutchison that he was in a dispute with the occupant of the other vehicle.
A vehicle check by the officer revealed other weapons besides the baseball bat. Officer Hutchison found a switchblade knife and a set of brass knuckles. Officers also found hashish in the vehicle along with other drug paraphernalia.
The two unidentified juveniles were taken into custody and transported to the San Benito County Juvenile Hall. The other teenager was booked on charges of possession of a billy club, possession of a switchblade knife in a vehicle, possession of hashish and transportation of narcotics.
“You see switchblades and brass knuckles are routinely sold over the Internet but they are banned weapons in California and possession of them, is illegal.” Hollister Police Captain Carols Reynoso said in a pres release, “ Hashish is a concentrated or compressed purified form of marijuana.”
