Police say four men were arrested on Friday night on suspicion of mail theft from 14 cities in the Bay Area.
The suspected thieves were apprehended by Pleasanton police after a Pleasanton resident called to report seeing a man taking mail out of mailboxes on MacDonald Court, authorities said.
According to a Nixle Alert released by police, at about 9:20 p.m. on Jan. 3, the resident reported seeing the man take the mail and leave in a “compact silver hatchback-style vehicle.”
