BAKERSFIELD — Three men were arrested on Wednesday in connection with large methamphetamine operation in south Bakersfield.
Harold Morales, 45, 35-year-old Jose Alvarez and 27-year-old Frankie Gomez, all of Bakersfield, were booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office jail for various drug and weapon related charges.
According to the sheriff’s department, the three suspects were arrested after on Jan. 8, 2014 at about 2 p.m. after narcotics detectives assigned to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Major Violator Unit concluded a month-long investigation.
Officers serving a search warrant on a residence in the 600 block of Bridle Avenue in south Bakersfield discovered approximately 20 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, two pounds of processed marijuana, four marijuana plants, a loaded .357 revolver and other evidence of drug sales.
Also during search, detectives said they found $5,000 in US currency, which was believed obtained from illicit drug sales.
