The Placer County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two men in separate cases for seeking sexual encounters with minors online, according to an official press release.
Matthew Thomas Ishizaki, 33, of Auburn, was reportedly arrested on January 7, 2014, and charged with arranging to meet a minor for purposes of committing a sexual act. He was reportedly released on bail. According to Placer County Sheriff, Ishizaki was arrested when he arrived at an Auburn location to meet with who he thought was a 13-year-old boy he had been speaking with online. Instead, he reportedly met detectives who had been posing as a young boy when responding to his online ad.
Ryan David Coats
Ryan David Coats, 38, of Citrus Heights was reportedly arrested at his workplace on January 11, 2014. He was also charged with arranging to meet a minor for purposes of committing a sexual act, as well as distributing harmful matter to a minor. Coats’ bail was reportedly set for $100,000. According to Placer County Sheriff, Coats did not show up to a planned rendezvous with whom he believed was a 13-year-old girl he had met after posting an online ad seeking a romantic encounter. However, detectives reportedly had enough evidence to make the arrest as they had been the ones corresponding with Coats online.
