FRESNO – Police arrested three alleged gang members in connection to a carjacking and an armed robbery that took place in northwest Fresno last month.
The victim of the carjacking told officers that he was in the area of Alamos and Marks avenues when two men approached him with a gun. The victim surrendered his car to the men. The car’s trunk contained a Glock handgun, according to authorities.
Officers pulled over a Toyota Camry driven by Kevin McClellan, 28, near Pontiac and Clark avenues for a routine traffic violation. They discovered the Glock handgun in the center console. A search of the car also revealed an iPad that had been taken in a robbery of the Exclusive Wireless store earlier that day, authorities said.
McClellan and Ivrone Eason, 33, were identified as the suspects responsible for the store robbery. McClellan and Allen Brooks, 33, were identified as the two suspects who committed the carjacking.
After serving several search warrants, police were able to arrest Brooks. Eason was arrested by a U.S. Marshal task force in Bakersfield.
McClellan and Eason are allegedly Pleasant Street gang members and Brook is allegedly a U Boy gang member.
