Police arrest Citrus heights man for DUI, auto theft

ROSEVILLE — (Feb. 3) Police, acting upon 911 call, arrested a drunk driver and recovered a stolen vehicle early Tuesday morning.

According to Dee Dee Gunther, spokeswoman for the Roseville Police Department, officers received a report of an allegedly intoxicated man passed out behind the wheel of car. Officers found a green Honda Accord parked on a sidewalk on westbound Cirby Way near Vernon Street.

According to the police, the Accord’s engine was still running. They also learned that the car had been reported stolen a few days before.

They removed the suspect, Koby Roy King, 41, 8218 Butternut Drive, Citrus Heights, and awakened him. King was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft, driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license and parole violation.

He is being held without bail at the Placer County Jail.
