SANTA BARBARA — A repeat fast food restaurant flasher was arrested last week thanks to the detailed descriptions provided by victimized employees.
Ivan Flores, 30, was booked April 15 on multiple charges of indecent exposure that took place in front of teenage employees at Orcutt Burgers in northern Santa Barbara County.
Service staff at the popular drive-through burger restaurant reported that a male customer drove his vehicle to the pickup window at approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 13, and while sitting behind the wheel exposed his genitals before driving away. Other members of the restaurant staff provided a detailed description of the culprit and his vehicle to Santa Barbara County sheriff’s deputies at that time.
According to sheriff’s spokesman Drew Sugars, a suspect of the identical description repeated the offense a month later, on April 3.
“It was the same behavior and modus operandi,” Sugars told reporters, “but this time we got a license plate number to go with the vehicle description.”
Sheriff’s detectives conducted an investigation that led to the home of Flores, where he was contacted and apprehended last Friday. Flores was booked into Santa Barbara County jail on charges of indecent exposure.
Jail records describe Flores as a 150-pound white male adult of 30. The vehicle he was driving when identified at Orcutt Burgers is a white Mitsubishi Montaro Sport, License #6HSC036.
Sugars indicated that these identifiers are being made public with the request that anyone having witnessed other incidents or possessing additional information about the suspect contact the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Anonymous Tip Line at (805) 681-4171.
