TEMECULA – Authorities have released photographs of a man believe to have robbed First Citizen’s Bank twice and are asking the public for help.
First Citizen’s Bank at 44575 Avenida De Missiones in the city of Temecula was first robbed on Tuesday, July 8 at about 2:00 p.m. by an unknown male. The suspect entered the bank and threatened employees with a weapon. He demanded money and the tellers complied. According to the Riverside Sheriff’s Department, the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No employees were harmed.
Officers from the Temecula Police Department were unable to locate anyone matching the suspect’s description. Surveillance photos from the bank were obtained and detectives continued their search, but were able to pinpoint a suspect.
Four months later another robbery occurred at the same bank. Apparently emboldened by his first successful attempt, in the mid-afternoon of Thursday November 13 the same man entered the bank and once again approached the teller and demanded money. Jumping over the counter, the suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer. The teller complied and the robber fled the bank. Again, no one was injured.
Officers and detectives from the Temecula Police Department responded to the scene, but were unable to locate the suspect in their search. After reviewing surveillance video from the second robbery, detectives feel confident that both crimes were perpetrated by the same suspect and are asking the public for help in identifying him. The serial bank robber is described as a white male adult in his 20’s, about 5’11”, 150 lbs. and with a beard. At the latest robbery he was wearing a black and yellow baseball cap, dark long-sleeve button shirt, and dark pants.
