Inglewood-area Felon Arrested for Multiple Gun and Drug Charges
HAWTHORNE, CA—Some folks simply can’t restrain themselves when in possession of loaded firearms and illicit substances.
Gerardo Preciado, 41, was arrested by Hawthorne police on Friday, February 13 at 5:24 a.m. He was picked up near his residence along the 10500 block of South Burin Avenue in the unincorporated area of Lennox. The area is southwest of Inglewood and immediately north of Hawthorne. It is patrolled by no fewer than three police agencies: Inglewood PD, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Hawthorne PD.
He was charged with five felonies and found to have at least one prior felony warrant. The three exclusive firearms charges were assault with a deadly weapon/firearm (245(A)(2)PC), illegal possession of ammunition (30305(A)1PC) and owning/possessing a firearm by a convicted felon (29800(A)1PC. The drug charge was possession of a controlled substance while possessing a loaded firearm (11370.1AHS), and there was also the charge of inflicting corporal injury (273.5(A)PC).
The warrant was from Hawthorne PD and was for possession of a controlled substance (11377(A)HS).
Total bail was set at $230,000.
