BAKERSFIELD — A 35-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after authorities discovered a large amount of drugs for sale inside his south Bakersfield home.
Carlos Gomez, of Bakersfield was booked into the Kern County Jail for being in the possession of controlled substances and being in possession of controlled substances for sale.
According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Gomez was taken into custody at around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 17, after officers with the California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team served a search warrant at his residence in the 11100 block of Golden Valley Drive.
The search warrant was obtained after police received information that Gomez was allegedly involved in the selling methamphetamine, and initiated an investigation.
Officers said that during their search, that located approximately three quarters of a pound of suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine and objects that indicated the drugs were being sold.
