Cameron Park Man Arrested After Firing at Deputies

A domestic dispute call led to gunfire between Deputies and a suspect in Cameron Park early Monday morning. According to The Eldorado County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to an argument on March 16th, at about 2:30 am in the 3000 block of Oakwood Road in Cameron Park.

When deputies arrived, they interviewed a female outside of the residence. While speaking with the woman, Deputies observed a male inside the home holding a rifle. The man began firing shots at the Deputies. Fearing for their safety and the safety of the woman, a Deputy returned fire. Nearby residents in the hillside homes were evacuated as a precaution by Sheriff’s Deputies.
