Taft Man Arrested for Having Sex with Underage Girl

TAFT — A 22-year-old south Taft man is behind bars after being arrested last week for having sexual relations with a underage teen girl.

Isaias Perez-Jacinto was booked into the Taft City Jail on two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor more than three years younger.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Perez-Jacinto’s arrest on April 23 comes at the conclusion of a short investigation into allegations that Perez-Jacinto was involved in a seven-month dating relationship with a 14-year old girl.

During their investigation, KCSO detectives said they were able to gather enough evidence from the girl and witnesses to obtain an arrest warrant to apprehend Perez-Jacinto, who was taken into custody without incident.
