The Milpitas Police Department is reporting the captured image of a suspect during a brazen daytime burglary last Tuesday, August 4. Video surveillance shows the suspect right before he forces himself into the residence located near Paseo Refugio at Santa Rita Drive in Milpitas. According to the Milpitas Police Department’s Sergeant Jared Hernandez, “The suspect knocked at the front door while holding a pink bakery box.”
Once the suspect determined that there was no one home at the residence, he forced his way in. He entered the rear of the home and tried to pry his way in through the sliding glass door. During the break-in, interior and exterior cameras were able to capture the suspect’s actions. Images of the man and his vehicle were clearly visible during both his entry and exit of the residence. The Milpitas Police Department is asking that if anyone recognizes the suspect or vehicle to please call the Milpitas Police Department at 408-586-2400.
