After over four years, a Pasadena man has been convicted for the drowning of his one-year-old daughter that occurred in May of 2011 in the 100 block of West Del Mar Boulevard.
The suspect was identified as Marquise Jackson. He had originally been arrested on August 25th, 2011 in Lancaster.
He pleaded not guilty, according to the original report.
The daughter was identified as Mo’Nayjah Jackson, who was found “not breathing” when paramedics arrived to the scene. The mother was reportedly at work when the incident occurred.
Marquise Jackson, now 26, has been convicted of first-degree murder for drowning his daughter in an apartment that the mother lived in.
Jackson admitted that he had killed the infant after some questioning, said Lieutenant Tracy Ibarra.
He faces 25 years to life in state prison at his sentencing, which will take place on August 12th at the Pasadena courthouse.
