The Paso Robles Police arrested a male-and-female duo for allegedly robbing a male victim early Tuesday morning.
According to PRPD, they received a call around 12:40 a.m. regarding a robbery that had just occurred in the area of 24th and Black Oak.
A 20-year-old male victim reported he had been robbed by two suspects in the area of 28th and Spring Streets. The victim stated the suspects ran to the area of Black Oak Drive after the robbery.
The victim reported a male suspect had confronted him and demanded his personal property while a female suspect came up from behind and held a knife to his back.
The victim told police he feared for his safety so he emptied his pockets and ran away. The victim had previously met the two suspects, so he was able to provide investigative leads for officers to follow-up on. The victim was not injured in this robbery.
On Tuesday, at approximately 10:45 p.m., patrol officers located the two suspects on the 1300 block of 24th Street. The suspects were detained without incident and arrested them for the robbery.
The suspects, both residents of Paso Robles, were identified as Juan Carlos Garcia Ayala, 36, and Sasha Marie Fitton, 31.
The suspects were transported and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail. Ayala was charged with felony robbery and a parole violation.
Fitton was charged with felony robbery and a probation violation. Both suspects’ bails were set at $60,000.
