GUERNEVILLE — On March 20th at around 10:30 PM, local police arrived at Pat’s Bar after reports of a suspicious man walking around with a knife.
At the scene, they spoke with a 17-year-old juvenile victim with a laceration to his hand. He said he’d been hanging out downtown near Bank of America when he noticed a man pushing a shopping cart and claiming people were after him.
When the victim asked who “they” were, the man reportedly grabbed him from behind, put him in a choke hold, and held a knife to his throat. The victim was able to push the knife away, but not without receiving a cut to the hand.
The suspect — later identified as David Terrazas (56) of Antioch — was discovered nearby and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment. His statements were reportedly “nonsensical, inconsistent, and he appeared to be disassociated from reality,” according to the official Sheriff’s Department press release.
Terrazas is housed at the Sonoma County Jail on $200,000 bond.
