SACRAMENTO — The California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR) and the Office of Victim and Survivor Rights Services (OVSRS) remind CrimeVoice readers that April 2 – 8 is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
Victims of crime can register with these offices in order to receive their valuable services:
- advanced notification of release, escape, or death of an offender
- assistance with collection of court ordered victim restitution
- assistance with information regarding the parole hearing process
- the ability to request certain special conditions of parole
CDCR and OVSRS would like to remind you that “it is your right to be informed and have a voice in the criminal justice system.”
Here is how you can register for these services:

- Register for services online at https://e1707.cdcr.ca.gov
