SACRAMENTO — A Roseville man, suspected of threatening to blow up employees at a bank in Auburn on Monday, April 3, 2017, has been arrested on charges that include suspicion of burglary, terrorist threats, falsely reporting a bomb threat, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Auburn Police received a call about a robbery shortly before noon on Monday to a bank located in the 400 block of Grass Valley Highway. They were told that a man, Anthony Ryan Firth, had threatened to detonate a bomb in the bank and kill employees.
When police arrived, they found Firth, 25, outside of the bank. He was promptly arrested and booked into Placer County Jail.
According to information released to the public several years ago by the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, Firth may have been arrested as many as 12 other times dating back to November 2014.
