REDDING — On June 5th at around 2 PM, a loss prevention officer at the Home Depot on Churn Creek Road tried to stop a suspicious person who’d left the store with stolen merchandise.
When confronted in the parking lot, the suspect drew a concealed firearm and aimed it at the employee before striking off southbound toward Barnes and Noble.
The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Victor Luisotti, was arrested in the area of Cany and Old Alturas. He was taken into custody without incident.
Officers noted that he no longer had the gun on him, though it was later found during a search of the area, along with merchandise Luisotti had stolen and discarded.
He has since been booked into the Shasta County Jail on charges of “robbery, felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, PRCS revocation, and multiple other charges.”
