MONTEREY PARK – 57-year-old Moises Garcia and his brother, 55-year-old Victor Garcia, recently plead not guilty in the case of a stabbing that led to 26-year-old Michael Anthony Villar’s death.
On June 10 the brothers got into a fight over a parking space with Villar around 12:30 AM, during which time they stabbed and assaulted the victim, who later died from his injuries.
3 days later the Garcia brothers were arrested and charged with murder.
Moises Garcia, previously convicted of rape in 1984, faces a maximum of 66 years to life in prison if he is convicted.
Victor Garcia faces 25 years to life in prison if he is convicted.
Their preliminary hearing will be held on July 20.
