EUREKA // On August 10th just before 7 PM, Eureka PD responded to the 1400 block of E Street after being alerted to an armed robbery involving the sale of marijuana.
The incident is said to have involved two suspects, one of whom drew a gun before both fled on foot with approximately two pounds of stolen weed.
Officers managed to chase down and detain one of the suspects — identified as 25-year-old Riordan Cockrum — and arrest him for “robbery, conspiracy, and resisting arrest.”
The second suspect, whom officers believe is the one who was armed, has not been located.
He has, however, been identified as 25-year-old Anthony Burgess of Eureka. He is officially wanted for robbery and an outstanding felony warrant.
He is considered armed and dangerous and, should they recognize him, members of the public are strongly advised not to engage and instead contact Eureka PD at (707) 441 – 4044.
