Lassen County Sheriff seeking burglary, car theft suspect

JANESVILLE // The Lassen County Sheriff’s office is seeking the arrest of 56-year-old Tobie Guffie, who has been identified as the primary suspect in an incident of vehicle theft, burglary, and card theft which occurred on September 20th.
Guffie allegedly entered a home while it was occupied and stole several items including “an ATM bank card, cellular phone, many personal belongings and a 2004 Ford Expedition.” The vehicle was later found abandoned on a property outside of Susanville.
The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office reports that Guffie has visited several businesses and used one of the stolen bank cards in the past few days.
He also has an arrest warrant to his name with a bail amount of $70,000.
